Dress and shoes

So, I have both the dress and the shoes for Jill and Tom’s wedding in my possession. The wedding itself is in 84 days. That sounds like a lot less time than “two and a half months or so.” For those of you who don’t know, I have known Jill since first grade (so we’re looking at 20 years) and she’s my first friend to get married. It’s a little weird. Especially when she talks about buying a house (“hopefully in the fall”) and having kids (“you’ll have to knit me some baby stuff!”) like it’s no big thing.

In any case, I don’t feel like PhotoShopping for the blog so just check out the flickr album I have for their wedding, which currently contains only the dress and shoes since that’s all that’s happened so far.

We got the dresses from Aria Bridesmaids, which I felt was a fantastic experience (especially compared to our experience at David’s Bridal). Very high quality material and worksmanship, and the woman at the Boston location was just lovely, and was very helpful, patient, and tactful. 🙂 Here’s a link to the photo of the style of dress on their website, which gives you a slightly better idea of what it looks like on a body, as opposed to a hanger. I really like the style, cut and color and look forward to being able to wear this again sometime, though I have no idea when that might be. As a guest to someone else’s spring wedding, I suppose. I wonder who that will be.

  1. Hi – Love the shoes! Great style dress! Perhaps you will be able to wear the dress again…I never could re-wear the dresses when I was a bridesmaid…but they were from the 1980’s! 🙂 All puffy and stuff–not to mention the colors—eeewwww! Like WordPress…lots of links.

    Love ya! Aunt Peg
