For the benefit of any new readers who aren’t on the ASIS&T or LISSA Chat listservs — don’t miss this awesome ASIS&T series! (Well, perhaps I’m a bit biased, here.)
BLOGS & RSS FEEDS IN LIBRARIES
Have you heard about librarians with blogs, but aren’t sure where to find them? Do you keep yourself up at night trying to figure out what RSS is and how to use it?
Don’t worry — Kelly Robinson (GSLIS ’04) will make it all clear! (You can read all about Kelly in the February 2006 edition of InfoLink [PDF].)
Libraries are reaching out to patrons in new ways, and librarians are sharing ideas and info for professional development — and they’re doing it with blogs and RSS. Come have a snack and get the scoop!

THE TECH LAB PRESENTS: SETTING UP AN RSS AGGREGATOR
So, you have a basic understanding of how RSS works, and have seen a glimpse of a few cool blogs — now what?
Come to this Tech Lab workshop, and we’ll help you get set up to catch and read the RSS feeds of the great blogs you heard about in Kelly’s presentation. If you can surf the web, you can set up an RSS aggregator. (We’ll do a brief intro if you can’t make it to Kelly’s presentation.)
Tuesday, 3/21: 6-7 pm
Thursday, 3/30: 1-2 pm
Co-sponsored by the GSLIS Technology Group and ASIS&T.
