So far, so good

Wednesday night was the presentation I organized on blogging & RSS in libraries. I brought Kelly Robinson, a GSLIS alum, to campus and she did a dynamite job. We had a good turnout, too — 16 people, including some staff. The room looked full and we got a lot of great questions that Kelly and I answered depending on who knew what. The people who came seemed to enjoy themselves, so that’s about all you can ask!

The slides from Kelly’s lecture, along with a couple of photos and the audio file we recorded, will be up on the ASIS&T website in the next week or so. I think our webmaster will most likely post it under “Recent News & Events.”

Next up, my “How to Set Up An RSS Aggregator” workshop on Tuesday. I did a lot of work on it on Wednesday, outlining and setting up a generic Bloglines account to use. Wish me luck!

  1. Sweet! Good luck with that. My library is trying to haul itself into the modern world, and blogging is on our back burner just now. I’m going to have to check out that lecture.
