Word of the Day

I just read this on Web4Lib, a techie librarian e-mail listserv — someone referred to her USB drive (flash drive, thumb drive, whatever you want to call it) as a "nerdstick." Awesome!

Also, you can apparently get portable versions of some software to run off of your nerdstick when you are away from your own computer . . . how cool is that? I think I may have underestimated last semester when I bought a 256MB one. Between this and the fact that it was full the other day (though, to be fair, there was roughly 100MB worth of audio files from something ASIS&T has been trying unsuccessfully to turn into a podcast) I think I need a bigger nerdstick.
