So, I was pleasantly surprised yesterday to arrive home and discover that the Spring 2007 Interweave Knits was watiting for me! Woo! The subscription was a belated Christmas gift from an aunt. š
I’ve looked through IK before, but not as a knitter with enough confidence to think that I could successfully complete some of the projects. There are so many gorgeous things to knit! I really like the Green Tea Raglan and the Cable Down Raglan. I think I will seriously consider making one of those after I make the Top-Down Cardi (which will be started as soon as I finish Lady Eleanor . . . sigh). I also kind of like the Dollar and a Half Cardigan.
I cast on (again) for Backyard Leaves last night, and it’s going much better this time around. It’s very slow going, but it’s very satisfying. I really have to pay attention to the chart, so I don’t think this is a good pattern for SnB. (Which is funny, because I decided to start it because I needed a small project to take to SnB.) There are some cute fingerless mitts in the Crochet Today that arrived recently, so I might make those with the tweed Cascade I have left over from the legwarmers. I’m really digging Fetching.
I have nits to pick with the redesign but the patterns are as good as ever. I think I want to do the Dollar and a Half cardigan.
I’m on the fence about the redesign – leaning toward the “liked it better before” side. It sounds like we’re gravitating toward the same favorites… Especially the Green Tea Raglan.
