CSA Week 17

October 4, 2009 ~ Alison

You can tell that summer is winding down. While some of the stands do still have tomatoes (in particular varieties of cherry and grape tomatoes) and there are still peaches kicking around, there are apples, and cider, and winter squash coming in now. This week I picked up a bunch of chard and some green bell peppers to make a minestre (beans and greens). Other than that, I picked up some pinova apples and a small container of cider from Reid’s farm.
