OK, I know this is an opinion piece but this goes beyond rose-colored glasses and into pipe dream. There are so many other issues with this but I think the biggest one is summed up in this comment. Let’s not even talk about problems around hardware, software, file formats, connectivity, digital divide and as one commenter noted, even availability of electricity.

Two academic libraries that have to close entirely for renovation projects are taking advantage of that to rethink how they operate. Very cool.
