I’m participating in The Kitchen Cure for the next two weeks. I’ll track my progress here, and in this flickr set of before and after photos. Things kicked off today with an assignment to photograph our kitchens and clean out the fridge and freezer.
I had book club tonight so I’m not quite done with today’s assignment, but I took all the before photos in the 30 minutes I had after I got home from work, and spent an hour cleaning after book club. I don’t have time to post all those photos online tonight, so I started with the before photos for what I actually did today. This really highlights the progress, so I’ll continue posting the before photos as I go. I’ll also write up more of a “why bother with this?” post tomorrow; for now it’s past my bedtime!
Tonight I went through the freezer and tossed some chicken breasts and some veggies that had been meant for stock, and rearranged things. There’s a lot more room in there than I thought! Then I cleaned the exterior of the fridge and went through all the ticket stubs and photos stuck to the outside. On to the interior of the fridge tomorrow, which will be a bit more of a challenge as I can’t open the door wide enough to easily get the shelves and crispers out.
